A Sunday afternoon

A Sunday afternoon walk in the park.

I went to this park many times when I was little. I went fishing with my dad and sister at the lake, fed the ducks and geese with friends and cousins, and spent many afternoons with grandparents at the playground. I remember thinking the tallest slide was so high, but now it looks so small! It's funny how things seem so different when you are little.

Same sky, different day

I really think it is interesting how the sky changes color, depending on the day. 

I'm thinking about doing a photo-a-day project about it but I haven't decided how long to do it yet. A week,  or two weeks maybe? I don't know if I could do it very long without missing a day, honestly. :)

The dance recital

A couple weeks ago I went the spring recital of a local dance company. 

Ballet dancers are one of my absolute favorite subjects to photograph. I loved capturing the movement, emotion, and poise of these young ballerinas.

Downtown

Here are a couple shots I took on a quick trip downtown.

I loved the way the sunlight was coming through the trees and making shadows on the buildings. Little things like that make me excited about photography. :)
